The Kagi chart can be considered as a variation of the step chart. Unlike other time-series charts, although the x-axis technically represents time, it does not necessarily show a continuous time flow. This is because, in Kagi charts, steps are drawn independently of time and only appear when the value exceeds a predefined threshold. As a result, this chart focuses more on value changes, rather than the change over time.
