The chart type that is not suitable for analyzing a whole with many parts, but is ideal for comparing a single part to the whole or for ratio comparisons between just 2-3 parts is the waffle chart. Similar to a treemap, this chart divides a rectangle into smaller rectangular units. However, since these units are further subdivided into smaller pieces, there is no space left for text labels.
