If what matters to us is to compare the positions of data values without visualizing the difference between them, we do not need to show the differences. Therefore, we can use a multiple dot chart where we only show the data points. Since our focus is not on showing the differences, we gain advantage of comparing more than two datasets by using the multiple dot chart.
